Counseling

Our certified counselors at Sweetgrass Pediatrics provide therapy to children, adolescents and families. Treatment methods are based on a behavioral and cognitive-behavioral approach that is supported by research and is highly effective in treating challenging behaviors and a range of psychological problems.During our initial consultation(s), we will work together to establish your needs, concerns, and goals. We will be able to offer you some first impressions of what our work will include and a treatment plan to follow, if you decide to continue with therapy. There are many different strategies to deal with the problems that you and your family hope to address. These strategies call for a very active effort on behalf of the patient and the family and includes a strong commitment from those involved. If you have questions about our policies or procedures, please do not hesitate to ask.

To incorporate a clinical counselor into a medical office offers many advantages.  The direct physician-to-counselor communication, ease of scheduling, and convenience to patients are just a few of the advantages to this model.
