Karlayne Dufault was born and raised in West Columbia, SC, and moved to Charleston in 1997. She received her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the Medical University of South Carolina.
She worked at MUSC for 18 years between the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Child Abuse Pediatrics. She has experience teaching undergraduate nursing at Trident Technical College and MUSC College of Nursing. She spent the last 7 years in Primary Care Pediatrics and enjoys building relationships with her patients and their families.
She and her husband have 2 sons and a yellow lab, Captain. They enjoy traveling, spending time on the water, and watching their sons play basketball, football, and golf.
