Sophie Groves, CPNP-PC, is a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner seeing patients at the Murrells Inlet location. She earned degrees in Health and Fitness from the University of Michigan, Nursing from Duke University, and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University in 2025. Sophie brings four years of pediatric cardiology nursing experience, having worked at Duke Children’s Hospital and MUSC Shawn Jenkins Pediatric Heart Center, and completed advanced pediatric training in both primary care and pediatric cardiology settings.

Sophie joined Sweetgrass Pediatrics in January 2026 and is passionate about disease prevention, health promotion, and improving health literacy for children and families. Her clinical interests include pediatric cardiology, nutrition and physical activity, and newborn care—helping new parents feel confident and supported. Originally from the Detroit area, Sophie recently moved to the Myrtle Beach area to be with her fiancé, Will. Outside of work, she enjoys Pilates, tennis, cooking Italian dishes, exploring new restaurants, and cheering on the Detroit Lions
