Emily Jenkins grew up in North Carolina and received a Bachelor’s from Wake Forest University. She moved to Charleston in the 90’s and worked in marketing, advertising, and the creative arts. She later earned her Bachelor’s of Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina and spent 11 years working as a RN at MUSC. There she developed a love of pediatrics and has been working with children for 15 years. She attended Duke University School of Nursing and studied to be a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Mental Health Specialist.

Emily is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is passionate about patient education and incorporating mental health in the primary care setting.

In her free time, she enjoys her family, her cats, and painting.
