Katie Ellis grew up in Charlotte, NC. She attended Georgia Southern University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

While working as a registered nurse, she earned a Doctorate of Pediatric Nursing Practice at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is a member of the NAPNAP.

When not at work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, West. Some of her favorite things to do are exploring Charleston by boat, traveling, seeking yummy places to eat around town, baking, and taking their 2 dogs Punch and Bear to the beach.
