What type of visit are you scheduling?

Please take a moment to review our Online Scheduling FAQs below before proceeding.

NEW PATIENT SCHEDULING FAQs

Care that's convenient, scheduled on your time.

Following completion of our new patient registration proccess, we off online scheduling at all offices. Please be sure to select the appropriate visit reason from the options above. Below are things to know before you schedule online and helpful tips from our practice:

  • Who can schedule online?

Online scheduling is available for new patients who have completed our pre-registration process as well as established patients who are in good standing. You will be asked to verify your child’s demographic information before proceeding to appointment selection. Patients who have not been seen in our office within the last 3 years will need to call our office to re-establish care and get scheduled. Patients with a collections balance must pay their delinquent balance in full or set up payment arrangements through our billing office prior to being seen in the office.

  • Does it matter what visit reason I select?

Yes, your visit reason matters. The type of or reason for the appointment scheduled will determine the scope of the evaluation. You may be asked to reschedule your appointment if the reason selected is not the reason you need to be seen. An example would be if you are scheduled for a sick visit, we will focus solely on addressing the illness or symptoms you are experiencing. A well check or other preventive care will not be evaluated during this visit. If you wish to have a separate appointment for a well check, please let us know, and we will be happy to reschedule.

  • Can I schedule siblings together?

If multiple children or siblings need to be seen, each child must have their own separate appointment with the same provider. Parents/guardians are required to go through the online scheduling process for each child individually, and are limited to two siblings per provider and appointment slot. Parents or guardians may schedule appointments for multiple children with different providers at the same time, however, additional authorized adults will be required to accompany child(ren) to the other provider’s exam room.

  • In what instances can I schedule a Televisit appointment?

Televists are offered for established patients in need of illness consultations, ADHD med management and follow-ups, and anxiety or depression med management and follow-ups. Following your initial new patient visit, you’ll be able to schedule televists online as an established patient. Patients must be present on the video call, and physically located in the state of South Carolina to conduct a televisit appointment. You will be asked to reschedule your appointment if the above conditions are not met.

*Please note that certain medical conditions cannot be fully evaluated and/or treated via telemedicine without additional diagnostic testing, such as lab work. If lab services are not available at a Sweetgrass Pediatrics office at the time of your visit, you may be referred to an external laboratory or urgent care facility to complete the necessary testing.

  • Reminders

    • Schedule well checks 365 days apart. Our practice advises scheduling annual well visits 365 days following your last well visit due to the potential denial of coverage by your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company or consult your insurance policy if you are unsure of when your child will be eligible for another wellness exam.
    • Sports or Camp physicals have a standard self-pay rate of $60. New patients should call our office to schedule a sports or camp physical for their first appointment.
