With 15 years in pediatric cardiac ICU nursing, she later became a pediatric nurse practitioner. She is passionate about caring for children and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Laura Folk was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and grew up on Lookout Mountain. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina and completed her Master of Science in Nursing to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
Laura has 15 years of experience as a registered nurse in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit and served as assistant nurse manager of the Heart Center at Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. After transitioning from bedside nursing, she began practicing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, following her lifelong passion for caring for children.
In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her children, family, and friends.
