Rachel McDowell earned her BSN from Clemson University and her MSN from MUSC. She began her career as an RN in pediatric hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant units and has practiced as a pediatric nurse practitioner since 2014. Her interests include wellness, nutrition, and preventive care. She enjoys travel, music, and family time.

Rachel McDowell earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clemson University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina.
Rachel began her career as a registered nurse in pediatric hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant units at Levine Children’s Hospital and MUSC. Since 2014, she has practiced as a pediatric nurse practitioner in the Charleston area and has also contributed as an instructor for pediatric nurse practitioner students. Her clinical interests include preventative healthcare, pediatric wellness, nutrition, and positive parenting.
Rachel and her husband, Jeff, have three children—Aidan, Emmy, and Sofia. She enjoys traveling, singing, spending time with family and friends, and exploring Charleston’s food scene.
