Sophie Groves earned degrees in health and fitness from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, nursing from Duke University in Durham, NC, and her Master of Science in nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She is a board-certified primary care pediatric nurse practitioner.
Sophie brings four years of pediatric cardiology nursing experience, having worked at Duke Children’s Hospital and MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. She joined Sweetgrass Pediatrics in January 2026 and is passionate about disease prevention, health promotion, and improving health literacy for children and families. Her clinical interests include pediatric cardiology, nutrition and physical activity, and newborn care.
Originally from the Detroit, MI area, Sophie recently relocated to Myrtle Beach with her fiancé, Will. In her free time, she enjoys Pilates, tennis, cooking Italian dishes, exploring new restaurants, and cheering on the Detroit Lions.
